GET INVOLVED RESEARCH FIRST

Research First

First and foremost, we are an institution grounded in the research of psychotherapy and what makes it successful.

We and our sister organization, the San Francisco Psychotherapy Research Group, have a rich history of publication and empirically validating our theoretical approach and its efficacy.

And we are continuing to produce and publish research, growing the theory and expanding it’s horizons.

While all our members enjoy the benefits of this line of inquiry, you are welcome to join one of our ongoing research projects. Many therapists start as members and have gone on to become contributors and published authors in prominent research journals.

“The crucial conviction that therapeutic processes – although case-specific, subtle, and always dependent on subjective experiences within and between participants – are ordinarily understandable and lawful.”

Hal Sampson, Co-Founder of SFPRG
